META PHILBEENA YOUNG June 9th, 1920 - April 4th, 2009 It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Meta (Momma) Young, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother at 88 years of age. She was born Meta Philbeena Bossert on June 9th, 1920 in Hilda, Alberta. One of nine children, she is predeceased by three sisters and four brothers as well as her much loved son Wayne Boone (1976). Meta is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 48 years, Frederick Young. She is also survived by her sister Frieda Amman, son Stan (Debbie) Boone, daughters Vivian (Al) Debuc, Sandra (Tom) Hardie, Vicky (Don) Snodgrass and Bette Lou Nicholson, her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Meta was an avid crafter who loved going camping, playing games or cards and watching curling. She had a passion for bingo, but more than anything else enjoyed spending time with her family and loved ones. Her vibrant and enthusiastic personality will make her well remembered and sorely missed by many. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Hamilton as well as the wonderful staff at the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Memorial Hospice Home, who provided incredible support and care as she made her final journey. A Memorial Service for friends and family is being arranged and details will be announced at a later date.
