BEDARD It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Evelyn Mary Lillian Bedard (nee Massey) on March 8, 2009. Evelyn died quietly at 96 years of age at the Kamloops Senior Village surrounded by family and loved ones. She leaves behind daughter Marilyn Callaghan of Kamloops, and son Harold (Hilda) of Edmonton; grandchildren Patti (Kevin) Giesbrecht of Golden, Debbie (Gordon) Piggin of Kamloops, Judy Callaghan (Joe Caputo) of Kamloops, Craig (Becky) of Calgary, Brent of Edmonton; great grandchildren David (Erin), Alicia (Justin), Lindsey, Taylor, Emma, Brooklyn, Madeline and Sophie; great great grandchildren Jordan, Jaida, Zoe and Rhea as well as many nieces and nephews to cherish her memory. Evelyn was predeceased by her husband Eugene, son Jerald, sisters Isabel Seward and Clarice Tindell and brother Fred Massey. Evelyn was born in Devonshire, England on May 12, 1912. She immigrated to Canada with her family in 1912 at the age of three months. She moved to Kamloops in 1932 where she met Eugene, they were married in 1937. Evelyn loved to dance, write poetry and spend time with her friends and family. The family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Kamloops Senior Village who truly treated her like family. Funeral Service will be held in the Schoening Funeral Chapel on Thursday, March 26, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. with Reverend Michael Wlodarczyk officiating. Interment will follow at a later date.
