ARSENAULT, DOROTHÉE - (1944-2012) - Dorothée "Dot" Arsenault, 67, of Moncton, passed away on Monday, August 27, 2012 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre following a brief five month illness. Born on August 31, 1944 in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Philippe and Annie (Richard) Arsenault. She is survived by her sister, Doris Bernard (late Aubin) with whom she resided at l'Oasis d'Or in Dieppe; two brothers: Father Donald and Alfred (Marie Dupuis) both of Moncton; as well as many nieces, and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by seven brothers: Joseph, Raymond, Arthur, Eddie, Paul, Léo and J. Alfred. Dorothée was involved with "Foi et Partage". She loved bowling and music and used to go at "la grange à Thomas" to listen to music, and a member of the Parkton Golden Age Club. Very generous, Dorothée had a big heart and her friends recognize it. She was sociable and loved children. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the hospital doctors, nurses and staff for the wonderful care provided as well as everyone who spent time with her during her illness and to the staff of l'Oasis for their warm welcome and good services provided.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900). Visiting hours Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Friday, from 9:30 a.m. until departure (10:15). The funeral mass will be celebrated at Notre-Dame-de-Grâce R.C. Church, 854, Mountain Road, Moncton, on Friday, August 31st at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary cemetery in Dieppe.
