Fredrick “Fred” Gordon Elliott, age 79, South Rawdon, Hants County, passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2012, at the Halifax Infirmary Hospital, Q.E. II. Born on January 20, 1933, South Rawdon, Hants County, Nova Scotia, he was the son of the late Annie Charlotte (Wier) and Gordon Ephraim Elliott. He was a truck driver for Conrad Brothers for many years. Fred will be greatly missed by his special nephew, Cody; sisters, Frances Haley, South Rawdon; Donna McLearn, South Rawdon; Margaret Dearman (Bub), Brooklyn; Betty Ellie, Halifax; brothers-in-law, Norman Page, Center Rawdon; Roy Ellis, Halifax; many nieces and nephews. Fred was predeceased by his parents, Gordon and Annie (Wier) Elliott; sisters, Marie Feetham, Joyce Elliott and Marion Page; brothers, Clifford Elliott, Basil Elliott and Gerald Elliott; brothers-in-law, Andrew Feetham, Laurence McLearn and Hallie Haley; sister-in-law, Blanch Elliott. A special thank you to all the doctors, nurses and the VON, that cared for Fred. Special thanks to Doctor Sam and Dr. Laquesta for the heartfelt compassion the last few days. Visitation was held in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, Windsor, from 1 until 2 p.m. on Monday, August 27, 2012, followed by the funeral service in the Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Carson J. Baxter officiated, with interment in St. Paul’s Anglican Church Cemetery, Upper Rawdon., followed by a reception at Fred’s home.
