COLLETTE, LIONEL - 1917-2012 - Lionel Collette, of Villa Providence, Shediac and formerly of Bouctouche passed away peacefully at the residence on Monday, August 27, 2012 at the age of 95 years, 5 months and 5 days. He was married to Irène (LeBlanc) Collette of Résidence Au Benaise, Saint-Antoine. Born in Sainte-Marie-de-Kent on March 22, 1917, he was the son of the late Thadée and the late Béatrice (Cormier) Collette. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Irene; his six children, Noëlla Maillet (Achille) of Dieppe, Viola Maillet (Léo) of Whaland, Mass., Elisa Saint-Pierre (Jean-Paul) of Shediac, Cécile LeBlanc (Peter) of Bellerica, Mass., Raoul of Moncton and Gerald (Linda) of Saint-Antoine; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He also leaves to mourn two sisters, Zella LeBlanc (Patrick) of Bouctouche, and Mai Bourque (Ronald) of Shediac; two brothers, Emile of Saint-Antoine and Elias (Georgina) of Bouctouche; and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by one grandson, Joseph; two great-grandsons, Alexandre and Justin; three sisters, Jeanne, Madeline, and Elise; and three brothers, Philippe, Alyre and Alban.
Visitation will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l’Église, Bouctouche, on Thursday August 30, 2012 from 7 to 9 pm and on Friday from 9:00 to 10:45 am. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche on Friday, August 31, 2012 at 11:00 am with interment in the Sainte-Anne de-Kent parish cemetery.
