It is with regret that we announce the passing of Fraser James Crewe, after a lengthy illness, at Picton Manor Nursing Home, Picton, Ont., on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009.
Born in North Sydney, he was the son of Frank and Stella Crewe.
He joined the Canadian Army at an early age and continued with the Armed Forces until retirement.
He was the beloved husband of the late Clara Crewe.
Surviving are his daughter, Charlane Williamson and her husband, Jack Petrie, Brantford, Ont.; son, Jim and his wife, Kath, Toronto; and daughter, Susan and her husband, Bob Webb, Bloomfield, Ont.
He was the brother of Allison (Lewis) MacKay, Kenora, Ont., Jean Boyd, Dartmouth, N.S., Ross (Bette), North Sydney, N.S., and Betty Boutilier, Coxheath, N.S.
He was predeceased by his brother, Frank and his brother-in-law, Gary Boutilier.
A memorial service was held at The Whattam Funeral Home, Picton, Ont., Monday, Dec. 7, 2009, at 10:30 a.m., Rev. Dr. Hal Wilson officiating.
