(1926-2012) — Passed peacefully away after a lengthy illness on Friday, August 31, 2012 in his 87th year, John Bernard Morris of St. John’s. Predeceased by his parents Fred and Annastasia Morris; sister Anna Evans (Maxwell); brothers Fred, Frank, Sandy, George and Cyril. Predeceased by his first wife Ruby (1965). Leaving to mourn his loving and devoted wife Mary (Downey-Parsons), daughter Heather Hennebury (Ronald deceased 2001); grandson Sean (Jennifer Wyatt), great-grandson Crewe, Ottawa. Uncle Bernard will be lovingly remembered by special niece Flo Evans and her husband Justin Conway, and special nephew Max Evans. Also mourning are step-son Jim Parsons (Linda), Markham, Ont.; step-daughters Barbara MacLeod (Allen deceased), P.E.I.; Joan Saulier (Paul), P.E.I.; Judy English (Bob), St. John’s; Paula Hudson (Fred), GA; nine step-grandchildren; 10 step-great-grandchildren. Also leaving to mourn many nieces, nephews and friends. Cremation has taken place. Visitation with the family will take place at Barrett’s Funeral Home, Hamilton Avenue, on Monday, September 3, 2012 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place from St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. Inurnment in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
