SPENCER, GERALD - Born in Wolfville, NS, Gerald was the son of the late Herbert W. and Minnie (Tancock) Spencer. Gerald received his Diploma in Applied Science from Acadia University and his Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from Dalhousie University. He was employed by Shawinigan Water and Power in Shawinigan Falls and Montreal, QC for three years and by the New Brunswick Telephone Company as a professional engineer for 27 years. Gerald is survived by his wife Nancy A. (Coit) Spencer; son, Peter (Donna) Spencer of Wasaga Beach, ON; daughters, Carol Ann (Mike) Melvin of Fredericton, and Jane (David) Green of Prince of Wales. He is also survived by brother Murray (Margaret) Spencer of Wolfville, NS; two sisters, Doreen Spencer of Wolfville, NS, and Priscilla Jean O’Neil of Port Hardy, BC; as well as grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. Gerald was predeceased his brother Richard Spencer.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 7th at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of the Good Shepherd. Interment will be made in the Cedar Hill Greenwood Cemetery. Condolences may be offered through Castle Funeral Homes at www.castlefh.com
