Peacefully at the Souris Hospital on Friday, March 21, 2008 of Letty A. Townshend (nee Coffin) of Souris River in her 96th year. Beloved wife of the late Leith Townshend. Dear mother of Shirley (Roy) Coffin, Betty (Guy) Jay, Phyllis (David) McKie, David (Bonnie) Townshend, Lillian (Wayne) Burke and daughter-in-law, Marilyn Townshend. Lovingly remembered by her 15 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. Predeceased by her parents, David and Nellie (Nee Aitken) Coffin; son, Bill; sisters Ruth, Ruby, Hazel, Cora, Beulah and brother, Jocelyn and son-in-law, Errol Wood. Resting at the Dingwell Funeral Home, Souris, for visiting hours on Monday from 6- 8:30 p.m. Funeral to be held Tuesday afternoon, from St James United Church with funeral service at 2 p.m. Interment in Bay Fortune United Church Cemetery.
