Passed peacefully in the presence of her loving family at St. Patrick’s Nursing Home on January 12, 2010, at the age of 85. Predeceased by her parents Charles and Elizabeth Flight; husband Stephen; daughters: Norma and Jean Rees; son Berkley; granddaughter Carla Myers; and brothers: Joseph, William, Elijah, Maxwell, Charles and Stanley Flight. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children: Eunice (Boyd) Parsons, David, Carl (Diane), Evelyn, Linda (Gerald) Hinchey, Eric (Yvonne), Stephen, Sandra (Edgar) Slade, and Sharon; sisters: Evelyn Flight and Myrtle (John) Tobin; brother Robert (Cathy); son-in-law Wayne Rees; sisters-in-law Mae Flight, Doris Flight, Beatrice LeGrow and Mildred LeGrow; 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; special friend Elsie Antle and family; as well a many nieces, nephews and a large circle of relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. on Wednesday and Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Wesley United Church on Friday, January 15, 2010 at 2 p.m. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in Doris' name may be made to Wesley United Church.
