New Glasgow - Florence Christina (MacLean) Fraser, age 97, of New Glasgow, passed away at the Glen Haven Manor on Saturday, September 8, 2012. Born in Antigonish on June 26, 1915, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Margaret (MacGillivary) MacLean. She was employed at Canadian Car in Montreal during the War. She was a member of Saint John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church. Florence is survived by her children: Rodie, Washington, DC; Bill (Sylvia), Foxbrook; Judy, New Glasgow; Alan (Maria Tsoutouras), Trinidad; grandchildren: Sonya (Terry) Pritchard, Orangeville, ON; Sean Fraser (Kim Carcary), Dartmouth; Jeff (Jessica) Fraser, Halifax; Sarah Fraser (Brian Burton), New York; Andrew Spicer (Heather MacDonald), New Glasgow; Gillian Fraser-Bisson (Joey Bisson), Bible Hill; Giselle (Brian) Arsenault, Edmonton; her great grandchildren: Johnathan; Allie; Bailley; Josh; Abby; Blake and Olivia. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband William E. Fraser; daughter Pat and sister Kay. Visitation 6-9 pm Monday in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral mass 11 am Tuesday in Saint John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church with Father Gary MacPherson officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
