Dorcas Taylor, a resident of Harbourstone Enhanced Care, formerly of Dartmouth passed away peacefully on Jan. 16, 2010.
Born in Burgeo, N.L., she was the daughter of the late Louis and Creena Caines who moved to North Sydney in 1920. She lived most of her adult life in Dartmouth working many years in the record department of the Nova Scotia Hospital. She was a longtime member of Christ Church, Dartmouth.
She is survived by nephew, Louis (Judy) MacKinnon, Sydney River; nieces, Marlene Lovett, Sydney, and Eva Hilliard, St. Johns, N.L.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Birkley Dinham, son, Paul Dinham, second husband, John Taylor, sisters, Jessie Caines, Mamie Allen and Lorraine MacKinnon and half brother, Aubrey Caines.
Cremation has taken place. At Dorcas’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private burial will be held in Dartmouth at a later date.
