Our beloved Mom sadly lost her battle with Alzheimer's disease on September 9th, 2012. We will remember her happy smiles on her recent 90th birthday. She was born in Lytton, B.C. to John and Jenny Firkins, the oldest of 4 children.

Kay enjoyed over 40 years of happiness, fishing, camping and gardening with Edward "Pop" Orr. Her greatest passion in life was cooking, which was a great joy to all of us who got to enjoy it all. She enjoyed looking after her grandchildren, who loved all those cookies "Gram" had ready for every visit.

Our Mom will be lovingly remembered by daughters Trudy Hicks and Roberta Marshall, sons Ronald (Irene) and Russell (Penny), two step-sons, their wives and grandchildren. Kathleen is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren, her only brother, Jack (Delores) and sister, Hazel and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Carl Westerlund.

As per Kathleen's wishes, there will be no formal service. She will be laid to rest with her husband, Edward "Pop" Orr, at a later time.
