MUISE, A. Leslie – 83, Villa St. Joseph-du-Lac, Dayton, and formerly of Hubbard’s Point, Yarmouth Co., passed away peacefully on Friday, September 7, 2012 in the Villa, with his partner, Theresa, by his side. Born September 3, 1929 in Amirault’s Hill, he was a son of the late J. Jerome and M. Elizabeth (Amirault) Muise. Leslie worked as a mechanic for many years. He is survived by his common-law wife, Theresa LeBlanc, as well as by an estranged son, Tony (Wendy) Muise, Amirault’s Hill, along with their two sons. Also surviving are a step-daughter, Sandra; step-daughter, Monica Doucette (Adam Crosby); step-grandchildren, Sydney and Jayden; brothers, Joseph (Mary Rose) Muise, Amirault’s Hill; Emile (Cecile) Muise, Thunder Bay, Ont.; sisters, Jeanette Hubbard and Augusta (Eugene) Doucette, both of Amirault’s Hill; Mary Rose Muise, Villa St. Joseph-du-Lac, Dayton; several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by Theresa’s mother, Grace LeFave, and her sister, Marguerite (Junior) Hubbard, both of Hubbard’s Point. Aside from his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Francellia “Frannie” (Swim) Muise; brothers, Gerald, Joseph, Nelson; sisters, Shirley, Gertrude and Catherine. Cremation has taken place. The family received friends at H. M. Huskilson’s Memorial Chapel, 29 Albert St., Yarmouth for one hour prior to the service, which was held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, September 12, Father Mauruce LeBlanc officiated. Interment followed in Holy Family Parish Cemetery, Amirault’s Hill. It was requested that there be family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the Villa St. Joseph-du-Lac Foundation.
