CARD OF THANKS
We, the family of the late Catherine (Kay) Cuzner, wish to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to our extended family, friends, neighbours and co-workers who supported us during our recent loss. We drew strength from those who shared in our grief through phone calls, emails, visits, food, flowers, cards, in memoriams, and charitable donations. We are very grateful to Aunt Dolly and our sister-in-law, Karen Cuzner, for being there when mom needed them most. We must thank the staff at the Glace Bay Health Care ER for their kindness and compassion. To Dr. David Ley and staff, we extend our thanks for the wonderful care mom received. We would like to express a heartfelt thank you to Jeff Millard, Michelle Saccary and Angus MacVicar at Patten Funeral Home for going above and beyond the call of duty to provide a professional and caring service that was second to none. To Mary Woodman and the staff at Forest Haven Memorial Garden, we thank you for easing our family’s burden. We cannot thank Reverend Vernon Reid enough for his support and kind words during a very fitting funeral service. We would also like to thank Marlene Brushett for helping to coordinate the funeral, Julie Tomada and Anthony Parsons for welcoming the guests, Joyce MacKenzie, Nancy Harvey and Muriel Hillier for reading, Myrna MacMullin for assisting with the service, Bong Reid, Saint Mary’s Choir, Aileen Butler and especially Scott Cuzner for providing such inspirational music. We send a big thank you to the pallbearers, Nanny Kay’s beloved grandchildren. We also extend our deep appreciation and thanks to Geoff MacLellan and Justin Trudeau for speaking so eloquently at the reception. Thank you to Saint Mary’s Funeral Reception Committee for serving such a wonderful lunch.
Mom’s life was marked by a love of family, friends and community. We were comforted and inspired by the outpouring of love given to her and our family during this difficult time.
