Neustaeter, Jacob entered into the presence of his Lord and Saviour on September 11 at 5:50 am. Jacob was born to William and Katherina Neustaeter in Schoenfeld on Oct. 28, 1928. Upon confession of his faith, he was baptized June 26, 1960, at the Christian Fellowship Church, Rhineland, SK by J.J.M. Friesen. He was united in marriage to Elizabeth Fehr of Hague, SK on Oct 15, 1955. They lived in Schoenfeld for 3 years, than bought a farm east of Rhineland. Jacob enjoyed farming and being together with his family. He especially enjoyed farming in the years he was privileged to farm together with his son. In the long winter months they enjoyed working together in the farm shop. Jacob will always be fondly remembered by his loving wife Elizabeth, his only son, Ladger; daughter-in-law, Andrea; and grandsons, Rory and Paxton. He also leaves to mourn his passing his brother, John (Marg) and family; sister-in-law, Annie and family; and numerous relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents: William, June 1971, Katherina, in March 1983; and brother, William in December 2008. The Funeral Service was held on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 2:00 pm from the Christian Fellowship Church, Rhineland, SK with Pastor Alvin Buhler officiating. The pianist for the service was Dianne Janzen with a special number brought by Phil Olney. Tributes were shared by Andrea, Rory and Paxton Neustaeter. “Day by Day” and “It is Well With My Soul” were sung by the congregation under the direction of Phil Olney. The ushers in the church were Bill Friesen and Harry Friesen. The Interment Service was held at the Christian Fellowship Church Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Albert Neustaeter, Stanley Neustaeter, Garry Neustaeter, Ruby Wiebe, Sylvia Neufeld and Vivian Neustaeter. Funeral arrangements were in care of Swift Current Funeral Home, Swift Current, SK. We will miss Jacob dearly but find comfort in II Cor. 5:1 “For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.” Until we meet again, your family.
