BEST, ISABEL CLEADY - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, Isabel C. (Allen) Best who passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, surrounded by her family on September 16, 2012. She was born the youngest daughter of the late Terrance and Jane (Hanson) Allen on March 1, 1942. Isabel is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, L. John Best of Upper Stone Ridge, NB; a daughter, Deborah Pugh; three sons, Terrance Best, Troy Best (Tara) and Daren Best (Lorraine), all of Upper Stone Ridge, NB; five grandchildren, William Pugh, Tamra Pugh, Tristan Best, Sierra Best and Asia Best; a sister, Mavis Upshaw (James), Fredericton, NB; a sister-in-law, Wanda Allen, Zealand, NB; two special cousins, Edward Davis and May Grant, both of Maine; her pet, Pierre and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her parents, Isabel was predeceased by three brothers, Glenwood Keith Allen, Bruce Elbridge Allen and Maynard Leo Allen and a sister, Elsie Madeline Allen.
Following cremation, visitation will be held at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, 1407 Route 104, Zealand, NB on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the church on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at 2 p.m. with Archdeacon John Sharpe officiating.
