Passed peacefully away at the Leonard A. Miller Centre, Palliative Care Unit on September 17, 2012, Susie Furlong, age 83 years. Predeceased by her husband, George (1981); parents: Florence and Jacob Langmead; mother and father-in-law: Mable and John Furlong; sisters: Madilene, Dot, Mary, Hattie, Lillian (Ed) and Lorraine (Leo); brother, William; brothers-in-law: Kevin, Tom, John and friend, Ray Noftle. Leaving to mourn with loving memories sons: Roland (Mary), George (Colleen), Derrick and Edward; daughters: Judy Dunn (Mike), Doris McCarthy (Ed), Liz, Linda Jackman (Doug), Deb, Dawn (Dave), Susan (Ern) and Florence (Bob); 26 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; sister, Sadie (Ron); brother, Warren; sisters-in-law: Josie Furlong (Frankie), Agnes Feltham (Harold), Alma, Mary and Evelyn; brother-in-law: Frank (Clara); special friends, Marg and Charlie, and a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road with visitation to be held on Tuesday and Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service will take place at the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Agnes Roman Catholic Cemetery, Pouch Cove.
