
Anne Gladys (nee MacCannell) Chapman
Chapman, Anne Gladys (MacCannell), 60, of Truro passed away peacefully Sept. 16, 2012, in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Charlottetown, P.E.I., she was the daughter of Florence (MacRae) MacCannell and the late John MacCannell. Anne loved gardening, walking on the beach, doing her genealogy research and spending time at the cottage. She worked for over 30 years for Colchester County Planning and Development Department, a job she enjoyed, especially the people she worked with everyday. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Besides her mother, she is survived by her husband of 30 years, Neil; sons of whom she was so very proud, Mark William and Alexander Neil, both of Halifax; sisters, Lillian, Rosemary White, Janice (John) Norquist; brothers, Duncan and William “Billy”; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brother, Russell. Visitation will be held Wednesday, Sept. 19, from 7-9 p.m.; memorial service on Thursday, Sept. 20, at 11 a.m., both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro, with Rev. Kym Burke-Cole officiating. Interment at a later date in Prince Edward Island. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or the Palliative Care Unit at Colchester Regional Hospital.
