DUGAS, Joseph Reginald “Buddy” – 71, of Yarmouth, passed away September 11, 2012 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born July 3, 1941 in Yarmouth, he was a son of the late Reginald and Mary (Pothier) Dugas. Buddy was a retired scallop fisherman. He is survived by his sons, Joseph Reginald and Brian Wayne, both of Yarmouth; sisters, Mary Nickerson and Marion Muise, both of Yarmouth; several nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Homes Ltd., 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth. Visitation was held Friday from 2-4 and again from 7-9 p.m. A funeral service took place in Huskilson’s Memorial Chapel at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 15, Rev. Bill Newell officiated. Interment followed in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Yarmouth, following the service. Memorial donations in Buddy’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Diabetes Association or the Lung Association of Nova Scotia. Family flowers only.
