Dolina “Jean” Wilson, age 97, of Moose Jaw, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2012. Born on the farm at Bulyea, SK, Jean received her education at Eddy School after which she helped on the farm. Her special memories were school dances, helping her mother cook for the threshing gang, raising chickens, ducks and geese, and watching the new calves and colts play and grow. On May 9, 1942, she married Richard Wilson. Together they lived in Moose Jaw for many years, with the last five years of Richard’s career with the post office taking them to Ottawa. They returned to Moose Jaw to enjoy their retirement years. Predeceased by her parents, husband Richard, grandson Scott Wilson, three brothers and one sister, she is survived her son Murray of Saskatoon; granddaughters Sheila of Saskatoon, and LaWanda of Calgary; and daughter-in-law Winnifred of Saskatoon. A Graveside Service will be held at Sunset Cemetery on Saturday September 22, 2012 at 2:00 pm. Reverend Doug Hallman will officiate. Those wishing to attend the Service may meet at the Cemetery gate at 1:45 pm. A Memorial Tea will follow at Jones Family Centre, 262 Athabasca Street East, beginning at 2:30 pm.
