It is with great sadness that the family of the late JOHN JAMES STEWART of Rushoon announces his passing at The Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin on Saturday, September 8, at the age of 85. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are wife Prisceilla of 62 years; Sons Gerard (Lucy) of Marystown, Cyril (Bernadette) of Placentia; Daughters Margaret Hackett (Bill) of St. Bernard’s, Jessie Cheeseman (Joe) of Toronto, and Carmel Kerrivan (Paul) of Marystown; Sister Margaret and Brother Cyril (Margaret); 13 Grandchildren, 9 Great-Grandchildren; Plus a large circle of family and friends. Pre-deceased by Parents George and Margaret Stewart; Sisters Madeline Young, Annie May Barron and Christina Barron; Brothers William and George Stewart.

The Mass of Christian Burial took place from Christ the King R.C. Church in Rushoon on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Interment followed at Christ the King R.C. Cemetery in Rushoon. In John’s memory donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice or flowers gratefully accepted.
