Born in New Waterford in 1954, Ronny Malik succumbed to lung cancer on Aug. 29, 2012, in Chiliwack, B.C.
Willful, opinionated, self-deprecating, generous and above all, fiercely loving, Ronny’s untimely passing leaves a profound gap in the extended family for whom he served as chief liaison and correspondent .
He was predeceased by his parents, Jean (Arsenault) and Sylvester Malik and his brother, Linus.
He is survived by brothers, Ken, Martin (Dana), Gordie (Linda) of B.C., and sister, Mitzy (Bob Hathway) of Ontario in addition to his numerous cousins and aunts from Cape Breton to Calgary who will miss greatly his regular phone and email dispatches, handwritten letters, and quirky, enormous spirit.
