Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre in the presence of his loving family on Tuesday, September 19th, 2012 at the age of 60. Jim resided in Bonavista where he was a much-loved music teacher at Matthew Elementary. Leaving to mourn his loving and devoted daughters: Sohaila Lucero (Joseph), Layla Roberts (Chris Anstey); granddaughter Maria Lucero who was his pride and joy; sisters: Janet Whittaker, Sheilah Roberts (John Lukins); his daughters' mother Ferdos Faroodi-Copsy; nieces: Leslie and Claire Hewlett, as well as a large circle of family and friends. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road. Visitation will take place on Thursday, September 20th and Friday, September 21st from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, September 22nd, 2012 at 2 p.m. at The Carnell Memorial Chapel.
