CUMBY, Donna Lillian, 57, of Dartmouth, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 19, 2012, at the Dartmouth General Hospital. Born on September 25, 1954, in Bramber, Hants Co., she was the daughter of the Norman and Mary (Sanford) Lake. Donna was an inspiration to all who knew her and despite her own health concerns, she spent her life caring for those around her. That was just her way. She is survived by her husband, Winston Carl Cumby; her son, Mark, in Doha, Qatar; sister-in-law, Dorothy Hartt; step-daughters, Angela (Jeff) Hawbolt; Debra Stone; Linda White; step-sons, Jeff (Anne) Hartt; Robert (Marian) Cumby; David (Barbie) Cumby; Gary (Joan) Cumby; Carl Cumby; 15 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Basil Hartt; brother, Delbert Caldwell; sister-in-law, Geraldine Hartt. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service was 1 p.m. Monday, September 24, 2012, at the Bramber Cemetery, Bramber. Pastor David Cumby officiated. The family received friends at a reception after 2 p.m. Monday, in the Lindsay Family Reception Centre, 184 King Street, Windsor. Donations in memory of Donna, were requested to be made to the CNIB or to any charity. Arrangements were under the care of Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, Windsor.
