PETERS, Jane Ann, February 7, 1956 - September 7, 2012. We are sad to announce the passing of our dear wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. After a courageous battle with cancer her journey ended peacefully at home with her family by her side at the age of 56. In the last few days and hours our mom was the same Jane we all knew and loved, never giving up hope and always smiling, even as she ended her journey on earth. During her battle with cancer Jane was fortunate to remain herself and endured very little suffering. Her strength and faith were present up until she took her final breath, which leaves us all with comfort. Jane is survived by her husband Dwayne Peters, children Darius (Paula) Peters, Dustin Peters, Natasha Peters, Janelle Peters (Chris Brooks). She also leaves behind her precious grandchildren Conor, Owen, Anika and Madison, parents Ralph and Irene (Corky) McMillan of Gull Lake, SK where Jane was born, and where she will complete her life journey on September 15, 2012 at the St. Anne Roman Catholic Church then onto the Gull Lake cemetery. Jane’s strength, compassion, and devotion to her family and many friends will carry on in those she leaves behind. “What an amazing journey.” We would like to express our gratitude to the many people who assisted Jane throughout her illness, especially Karen Bushfield, Laurie Crothers, Kelly Eklund and the Tom Baker Cancer Center Unit 46 and 47. Your exceptional care and compassion from the beginning of Jane’s journey and throughout the last days will never be forgotten. The family would also like to thank everyone for all the phone calls, visits, food, flowers, cards and donations. Special thanks to everyone who attended the service, especially those who travelled from a distance. Your thoughtfulness is greatly appreciated.
