Passed away peacefully with family by his side on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Extendicare Moose Jaw. Gordon, at the age of 75, beloved husband of Beverley for over 52 years, loving father of Doris Avery (Dennis), Sandra Turnbull (Brian), Wanda and Trent. Cherished grandfather of Dayna MacDonald (Jeff), Jacob and Katrina, and great-grandfather of Rhett. Gordon was born to Peter and Anna Hiebert on the family farm near Chaplin, SK. on March 19, 1937. He served as a firefighter in Moose Jaw until health concerns led to his retirement in 1991. He loved woodworking, and enjoyed his country music. He was a faithful member of the Moose Jaw congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses and he served as an elder there for many years. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at the Kingdom Hall in Moose Jaw, 200 Mulberry Lane. Arrangements are entrusted to Parkview Funeral Chapel.
