MCCULLY, ADA J. – 72, of Diligent River passed away Sunday, September 23, 2012 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan. Born in Yorke Settlement, she was a daughter of the late Ervin and Lillian (Bowden) Yorke. Ada was a proud member of both the Diligent River and Southampton Communities. She, with her husband Floyd, operated the Southampton Irving Gas Station and Convenience Store for 10 years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Floyd; daughters, Denise Brown (Rod), Southampton; Lori LeBlanc (Mike), Amherst; grandchildren, Terri, Leanne, Danielle, Jenna, Shelley and Mark; great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Keegan, Hayden, Avery, MacKenzie and Morgan; a sister, Euda Benjamin (Kenneth), Shad Bay; brothers, William Yorke (Eva), Diligent River; Chester (Connie), New Prospect; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Danny; brothers, Layton, Malcolm and Joseph. Visitation 6-8 p.m. today [Tuesday, September 25, 2012] at Smith’s Funeral Home, Parrsboro, where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday [September 26, 2012], Rev. Greg Doyle officiating.
