January 07, 1944 to September 05, 2012. It is with deep regret that the family of Mike (Mikey) Power announces his death on Wednesday, September 5, 2012, in Edmonton, Alberta. Leaving to mourn with loving memories: his mother, Ida Power; his three sons: James (Kim), Jason (Leanne) and Justin; his wife, Denise; his brothers: Ed (Maureen), Don (Eileen), Frank (Hazel) and Paul (Lilly); his sisters: Donna Seward, Lorraine, Jean Simms (Austin), Joan Elliott (Pat), Karen Smart (Randy), Janet Stevenson (John), Jeanette (Willy), Patrice (Dave) and Marie Anglehart (Dwight); his grandchildren: Mitchell, Michael, Jayce and Devynn; his wife’s children: Michelle Bala and Dominic Faubert, and her grandchildren: Kyle, Dylan, Matthew and Makenna. Predeceased by his father, Edward; brothers: David and Gerard; sister, Carol; brother-in-law, Ron; nephew, Raymond and niece, Kelli-Sue. Mike retired from the Canadian Air Forces during his last posting in Edmonton where he spent the remainder of his working years. Mike’s family is getting together to celebrate his life on Thursday evening, September 27. Family members and friends are welcome to join us between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. at his sister’s residence at 62 Coventry Way, St. John’s.
