DICKISON, BRUCE KEVIN - Bruce Kevin Dickison, born in Moncton, N.B., June 19, 1958, the son of Shirley (Smith) and the late Stewart Dickison, passed away peacefully after a short valiant battle with cancer on September 24, 2012, in Edmonton, AB. Bruce is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Hovelkamp), step daughter Leah (Jeff), children Parker and Abby, step son Keith (Krystal), children Paige and Bailey, brothers Craig (Vernie), Nova Scotia and Grant, Ontario and also several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his sister Carol Drapeau and brother Eric. Bruce owned/operated an Elder Care Home in Moncton and a Food franchise in Alberta. He spent the majority of his working life in health care, working in several hospitals in Moncton, Ontario and Alberta. His final position prior to the onset of cancer, was as Manager of House Keeping Services, overseeing several hospitals around Edmonton, AB. He and Dorothy enjoyed visiting with family, friends and co-workers. They spent many hours camping, boating and fishing.
His remains will be cremated with the memorial service to be held Friday at 1pm on September 28, 2012. Bruce is traveling on and with God’s grace we will follow in our time, joining those who have gone on before us.
