MacFARLANE, JOAN MARIE - Joan M. MacFarlane of Millville, NB passed away September 26, 2012 at her home. Born at Hartford, Connecticut in 1928, she was a daughter of the late Hazen and Elva (Johnston) Crawford. For a number of years, Joan was employed as a Registered Nursing Assistant at hospitals in Houlton, ME and Woodstock, NB. She enjoyed cooking, hunting, fishing, dancing and her family. She is survived by four sons, Eric MacFarlane (Pam) and Dixon MacFarlane (Deborah), both of Millville, NB, Douglas MacFarlane, Carlisle, NB and Wayne MacFarlane (Terry), Peterborough, ON; fourteen grandchildren; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by an infant daughter, Asha-Lynn; a daughter-in-law, Charlene MacFarlane and a granddaughter, Tracey MacFarlane-McDonald.
At Joan’s request, there will be no visiting hours or funeral service. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Joan, the family has suggested the Hawkins Corner Cemetery.
