The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012, of Melda Arsenault of St. Edward aged 72 years. Beloved wife of the late Azade Arsenault. Melda was born in St. Edward on Dec. 26, 1939, the daughter of the late John and May (Chaisson) Perry. Loving sister to Annie (Eddie) Bernard, St. Edward; Peter (Estha) Perry, St. Edward; Robert (Marlene) Perry, St. Edward; Wilbert (Pat) Perry, Tignish; and Henry (Elaine) Perry, Rosebank. She is also survived by a special niece Cathy Perry, an honorary grandson Mitchell Perry, numerous nieces and nephews, and brothers-in-law Gerald, Hubert, Joe and Manuel Arsenault. She was predeceased by her parents John and May, husband Azade, brother George and Gilbert, Clifford and Basil all in infancy and a sister-in-law Jackie. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Road, for visiting hours Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Saturday from 12 to 1:30 a.m. Funeral will be held Saturday at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road, with funeral mass at 2 p.m. Celebrant Rev. Jacques Rigaud. Memorial donations to the Prince County Hospital Palliative Care Unit would be greatly appreciated.
