LAVIGNE, DORILLA - Bathurst - Mrs. Dorilla Lavigne, 66, of Nicholas Denys Dr., Bathurst, passed away on Saturday (September 29, 2012) at her residence. Born in Shediac, she was the daughter of Geneva (LeBlanc) Maillet and the late Ernest Maillet. She was a Registered Nurse with the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst and was a member of the Retired Nurses Association. She was predeceased by her husband, Vernon “Turk” Lavigne. Besides her mother of Shediac, she is survived by her companion, Ben Tang of Beresford, two children; Wayne of Lutes Mountain and Nicole Lavigne of Toronto, ON, one brother; Hector Maillet (Andrea) of Shediac, four sisters; Yvette Bothwell (John) of San Diego, USA, Diane Caissie (David) of Moncton, Annette Maillet (Roger Cormier) of Caissie Cape, NB and Marie-Thérèse Maillet (Greg Wood) of Moncton. one grandson, Mathis, several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive relatives and friends after 2 p.m. Tuesday at Elhatton’s Funeral Home, Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday morning (October 3, 2012) at 2 p.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst. Donations in memory of Dorilla may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donors choice. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
