FIDDLER: Mary Jeanne Fiddler, age 102, of Swift Current, SK passed away September 12, 2012 at the Palliser Regional Care Centre. The Funeral Service was held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, September 15, 2012 from First United Church with Reverend Sharon Ferguson Hood officiating. The organist was Patti McCleary and the soloist was Lois Fiddler. Life Tributes were presented by Robert Newland and Darren Fiddler. The ushers were Bob Fiddler, Keith Trudeau, Christopher Fiddler and Robert Fiddler. The pallbearers were her grandchildren Lorne Fiddler, Tara Sagen, Jeff Sagen, Darren Fiddler, Nicole Sanson and Rob Sanson. The interment service took place at the Webb View Cemetery, Webb distirct, SK. Jeanne was born at St Alexander, D'Iberville, QC on August 13, 1910 and came west with her parents in 1913. She attended school at St. Clair School, but could only speak french. She was married to William Fiddler on January 21, 1937 in Swift Current. Jeanne and William lived in the St. Clair district where she tended to her family and household. In years past Jeanne was a member of Home and School groups, the Clairbank Hall Board, Gull Lake Old Timers and the First United Church. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining. In her later years she enjoyed oil painting, and traveling on bus trips to Las Vegas and Whiterock, B.C. to visit family. She was residing at the Palliser Regional Care Centre for the last six years and had excellent care. Jeanne is survived by her sons Norman (Gayle) and Dennis (Cheryl) Fiddler; grandsons Lorne (Kimberley) and Darren (Lois) Fiddler; granddaughters Tara (Jeff) Sagen and Nicole (Rob) Sanson; great grandsons Christopher, Robert, Ian, Terryl, Ivan and Brett; great granddaughters Brittany, Trinity, Terra, Laura and Sara; great great grandson Braydon; three great step sons; three great great step grandsons and numerous nieces and nephews from Vancouver, Calgary, Regina, Kerrobert and Swift Current. She was predeceased by her parents Phillip and Admira Trudeau; husband William Fiddler; and family members: Louis and Margaret Trudeau, Donald and Helen Trudeau, Paul and Evelyn Trudeau; Oscar and Bessie Newland; Marnus and Clara Fiddler; nephews Alfred Newland, Marnus Newland, Edwin Trudeau, Howard Trudeau; and niece Carol Paradis. Jeanne will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all her family and friends. In her memory, memorial donations may be made to the Palliser Regional Care Centre Auxillary,the Webb View Cemetery Fund or the charity of the donor's choice.
