KROMREY: Elaine Jubilee (Seafoot) Kromrey, age 84, of Swift Current, SK, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2012 at the Palliser Regional Care Centre. "Jubilee" as her family like to call her, was born on January 25, 1928, in Eastend, SK, the youngest of seven children. She attended the Atkins School in Eastend, and graduated from grade 12 in Medicine Hat. In 1947, she married Leon Kromrey and together, they raised five children. Her first job was as a telephone operator; later, she worked as a cook at the Swift Current Union Hospital until she retired at the age of 64. Throughout her life, Elaine Jubilee worked very hard to care for her family. She loved to garden, spending endless hours in her yard. She passed this passion on to many of her family members. She was also a talented knitter and needle worker, making many gifts for her new grandchildren. Elaine was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who lived her faith and convictions through her actions. She is survived by her brother, Wilfred Seafoot; her children: Earl Kromrey (Brenda), Shirley Willox (Gordon), Douglas Kromrey (Diana) and Donna Shuler. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Darren Kromrey, Rhonda Morgan (Rob), Angela Kromrey, Sean Kromrey, Danielle Kromrey; Michelle Bourgeois, Christopher Olheiser; Jamie Kromrey (Alona), Natalie Kromrey; Tricia Campbell (Craig), Carry Gryde (Perry), Lori Peters (Jerrod); Her great-grandchildren: Julian Fontaine; Braden Morgan, Brooke Morgan; Nathan Bourgeois, Sarah Bourgeois; Jakob Kromrey, Danika Kromrey; Brenden Campbell, Autsin Campbell, Raelynne Campbell; Faith Gryde, Joran Gryde; Serina Peters as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents: Bertha and George Seafoot; mother and father in-law, Emma and Charles Kromrey; husband, Leon Kromrey; son, Milton George Kromrey; sisters: Edith Matteson, Emma Campbell, Edna Peterson; brothers: Fred Seafoot, Gordon Seafoot; son-in law, Stan Shuler and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. on October 1, 2012 at Victory Family Church with Pastor Lorne Davis officiating. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Warren's Funeral Home, and the music was provided by Victory Family Church with a solo by Lori Peters (granddaughter of Elaine). The pallbearers were: Sean Kromrey, Jamie Kromrey, Jakob Kromrey, Nathan Bourgeois, Austin Campbell, and Brenden Campbell (grandsons and great grandsons of Elaine). The internment service was held at Mount Pleasant Burial Park. In memory of Elaine Kromrey, donations can be made to the Palliser Regional Care Centre Activity Fund, or to a charity of your choice.
