At the Souris Hospital on Tuesday, October 2, 2012, of Leonard Campbell of Dingwell’s Mills and formerly of Annandale, age 69.
He was the son of Marcellus and Mary Theresa (Molly) Campbell. Children, James Poirier, Corinne Campbell-Rosser (Benjamin), Delia Tassell (Gary), Nicholas Johnston, L. Walter Mallard, James Mallard, Brooke Mallard. Grandchildren, Jillian, Julia and Jenna-Lee Tassell, Alexzandria Matheson-Johnston, and Isabel and Oliver Campbell-Rosser. He is survived by his siblings Isabel Schoenfeld (Ronald), Katherine Dingwell (Charles), Theresa (Ronald Davies), Helen Miller-MacKenzie (Cyril), John (Ethel), Edna MacNeill (Roy), Edward (Pauline), Eleanor Avery (Larry), and was predeceased by Felix (Helen).
Leonard lived his life fully. He was a caring man of great strength who was quick to help family, friends and strangers alike. He was greatly loved and will be missed by all who truly knew him.
His remains have been donated to Dalhousie University at his request. A celebration of his life will be held at Little Pond Community Centre on Thursday, October 4, 2012, at 6 p.m.
Donations to his niece, Melanie Fraser, or his brother-in-law, Ronald Schoenfeld (Isabel) to help with their recent health-related expenses would be greatly appreciated.
