CORMIER, FRANCOIS - 1926 - 2012 - François Cormier, 86 of Foyer Saint-Antoine and formerly of Notre-Dame, passed away peacefully at the Foyer Saint-Antoine, Saint-Antoine, on Monday October 1st, 2012. He was married to Yvonne (Richard) Cormier. Born in Notre-Dame on March 29th, 1926, he was the son of the late Alfred and the late Osithe (Babineau) Cormier. Francois was a carpenter by trade. He will be sadly missed by his wife Yvonne of Notre-Dame, his four children; Osithe LeBlanc (Bernard) of Long Sault, ON, Gilles (Denise), Daniel (France), and André (Patsy) of Notre-Dame, his five grandchildren; Lynn, Julien, Tracy, Catherine and Maureen. He also leaves to mourn his sister Nora Babineau of Saint-Antoine and his brother Normand (Dora) of Moncton, and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by two sisters, Ida and Helene and five brothers, Alyre, Clovis, Oscar, Blair and Alderic.
Visitations will be held at the Notre-Dame du Sacré-Coeur Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Notre-Dame on Wednesday, October 3rd, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and on Thursday from 2 to 3:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the Notre-Dame Church on Thursday, October 4th, 2012 at 4:00 pm with interment in the parish cemetery.
