PRICE, VELMA - The death of Mrs. Velma J. Price, wife of the late Everett R. Price, of White Rapids, formerly of Moncton, occurred on Tuesday morning, October 2, 2012 at Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 94. Born in Doyles Brook, NB, she was the daughter of the late George and Grace (McKinley) Gallan. She was a homemaker and a member of St Andrew’s United Church, McKinleyville. She was also a member of the Derby Senior Citizen’s Association. She is survived by her son, Clarence Pleadwell of Leetonia, Ohio; her stepdaughter, Donna Woolsey (Peter) of Halifax, NS; her stepsons, Gurney Price (Leanne) of Newmarket and John Price (Debbie) of Moncton; her sister, Georgina Pleadwell of Upper Derby; her sisters-in-law, Jeannie, Ethel, Phyllis, Ella Gallen and Ruth Gallen; her grandchildren, Wilson Kingston(Lynn), Brian Kingston, Barbara Campbell (Rob), Lee Pleadwell, Jennifer Pleadwell, Joey Price (Mary), Jason Price (Jennifer), Christy Price, Jill Price (Andrew), Ben, Nick and Josh Woolsey; and her great-grandchildren, Alex, Veronica, Christopher and Ashley Kingston, Cameron and Elizabeth Campbell, and Leo Clarence Pleadwell; her special niece, Aleatha Clarke (Dave) of White Rapids; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and her second husband, she was predeceased by her first husband, Wilson Pleadwell in 1968; her daughter, Elvera Kingston; her sisters, Frances Davidson, Alice Matchett, Mary, Beryl and Dorothy; her brothers, Austin, Angus, Perry, Harry and her infant brother, George; and her son-in-law, Alfred Kingston.
Mrs. Velma J. Price is resting at Davidson’s Funeral Home, 597 Old King George Highway, with visitation on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. The Funeral service will be held on Friday, October 5, 2012 at Davidson’s Chapel at 2pm with Dean Lawrence and Father Gerry Laskey officiating. Burial will be in Cochraneville United Church Cemetery, Doyles Brook. In her memory, donations may be made to Cochraneville United Church Cemetery.
