The death occurred suddenly at the Kings County Memorial Hospital, Montague, on Saturday, April 5, 2008, of Margaret Irene Aitken, aged 87. Survived by her loving husband of 65 years, James Aitken; daughter, Margaret Anne and friend, Campbell Burns; Leslie (Linda), Fredericton, N.B.; Douglas and friend; Beth, Nova Scotia; Kenny (Jacqueline), Georgetown Royalty; and her sister, Anna MacDonald, Whim Road; brother Gordon Beaton, Oshawa, Ont. and by nine grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Predeceased by parents Malcolm and Charlotte (Lottie MacKay) Beaton and son, Gordon. Cremation has taken place. Private memorial service and burial in the Lower Montague Cemetery at a later date.
