Charlotte (Chaud) was born in Baddeck, N.S., on March 16, 1921, the first of three daughters (Dorothy Ann Muloin, Belle Morrison Bellemare) of Charles Dawson MacKenzie and Julia Anne Morrison. Charles MacKenzie was a member of the CEF during the First World War, and later served with the Nova Scotia Police Force until it was absorbed by the R.C.M.P. in 1932. He served with the RCMP until he was pensioned in 1949. As a result, Charlotte's early years were spent between Baddeck, New Glasgow and Halifax, N.S. Charlotte's wartime service was with the RCMP in Halifax, N.S. In 1946, Charlotte married Dr. George G. Sheppard, and the couple moved to Mount Stewart, P.E.I., in 1947 where he practised medicine until his death in 1985. Charlotte is survived by her children: Sheila Curley, George (Kathy), Graham (Anne) and Peter. Grandchildren Peter (Shelly), Kristopher (Niki) Curley, and Lauren (Joseph) Murphy; George and Chevon Sheppard; Christopher and Laura Sheppard. Great-grandchildren, Alex and Lilly Murphy, and MacKenzie Curley. At Charlotte's request there will be a private service with no viewing hours.
