BRANSCOMBE, RONALD DOUGLAS - It is with great sadness the family of Ronald Branscombe announces his death at the Saint John Regional Hospital on October 2, 2012. He passed with his family at his side at the age of 63. Ron was born in Minto on March 22, 1949 and was the son of Irene and the late Douglas Branscombe. Survived by his wife, Carol Ann; son, Lee (Sue) of Moncton; daughter, Toby of Fredericton; sisters, Patcy (Bill) Speedie of Beaverton, ON, Susan of Chipman, Gale (Rodney) Bishop of Chipman; brothers, Tom and Daryl (Jackie) both of Chipman; grandchildren, Mason, Camden and Malayah all of Moncton as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Ron was predeceased by his father, Douglas Branscombe. Ron was a loyal member of the Jemseg Fire Department, serving as Captain until his death, he was a Charter Member of the Jemseg Lions Club, and a bus driver for District 17 for 35 years. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and sharing stories but especially spending time with his grandchildren.
There will be visitation at the Oromocto Funeral Home on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Lions Memorial Service will take place at 6:30 pm. A Funeral service will be held at the St. James Anglican Church on October 5, 2012 at 2:00 pm with Archdeacon John Sharpe officiating and Rev. Dan Walton assisting. Interment will take place after the service at the St. James Cemetery. For those who wish, memorials may be made to the Lions Foundation of Canada, St. James Building Fund, or the John T.
