
Opal Mullin
MULLIN, OPAL KATHLEEN - The death of Opal Kathleen Mullin of Fredericton, NB, occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Monday, October 1st, 2012. Born in Gaspé, QC on June 2nd, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Louisa “Lulu” (Robson) Mullin and the wife of the late Kingsley Mullin. Opal worked in Montreal during the war and afterwards she married the love of her life. She made a beautiful home for her family, her priorities always being her husband and children. She was an active member of St. Andrews Church in York, a singer in the choir and was a participant in many amateur theatre productions. She will be sorely missed and her family will always treasure their memories of her. Survived by her children, Louise and Claire of Fredericton, NB, Mark (Elizabeth) of Brampton, ON and Jonathan (Helen) of Dartmouth, NS; grandchildren, Scott, Dawn, Nathan, Nikki, Jamie and Andrew; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Evelyn Annett (Ronald) of Lachine, QC; several nieces and nephews as well as her beloved dog, Cody. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Kingsley; a twin sister, Pearl; sister, Inez and brother, John.
Visitation will be held at McAdam’s Funeral Home (458-9170), 160 York Street on Thursday, October 4, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at Christ Church (Parish) Church on Friday, October 5, 2012 at 11:00 am with Rev. Anthony Kwaw officiating.
