NICHOLSON, RONALD CARROL - Ronald C. Nicholson of Nackawic, NB passed away peacefully at his home on October 2, 2012. Born on May 9, 1945 at Woodstock, NB, he was a son of the late Carroll and Reta (Ritchie) Nicholson. He is survived by his wife, Carmen (McMorran) Nicholson; his children, Mark Nicholson (June), Woodstock, NB, Michelle Christenson (Chris), Mons, Begium, Randy Nicholson, Toronto, ON, John Nicholson, Fredericton, NB, Robert Nicholson and Emily Nicholson, both at home; his grandchildren, Kayla and Drew Nicholson, Woodstock, NB and Mallory Christenson, Belgium; three brothers, Eugene Nicholson, Woodstock, NB, Curtis Nicholson (Brenda), Upper Kingsclear, NB and Floyd Nicholson (Brenda), Ritchie, NB; an aunt, Grace White (Mike), Alberta; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Ron worked as a barber in Fredericton and Nackawic, NB prior to beginning his employment with Ste. Anne-Nackawic Pulp Mill in the late 1970's, retiring in 2001. Ron is best remembered as a caring, compassionate man, a teller of stories and jokes and as a proud and dedicated husband, father and grandfather.
Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic, NB on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Friday, October 5, 2012 at 2 p.m. from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jim Rhyno and Rev. Allen Myshrall officiating. Interment at Hillman Cemetery, Ritchie, NB. A reception will follow at Nackawic Baptist Church, 94 McNair Drive, Nackawic, NB. Pallbearers will be his six children.
