
Cecil Sr. Kervin
KERVIN, CECIL FREDERICK Sr. - 1926 - 2012 - Cecil F. Kervin, Sr., of Moncton, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Wednesday, October 3, 2012. Born in Irishtown, he was the son of the late Joseph and Helen (Cassidy) Kervin. Cecil was a retired electrician with the T. Eaton Co. and former taxi driver with Air Cab. He enjoyed playing guitar, attending to his bee hives, puttering and tinkering around his garage and in the woods and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Cecil attended St. Lawrence O’Toole Roman Catholic Church and was a Veteran of WWII, having served with the R.C.A. Cecil will be sadly missed by his loving children, Helen Melanson (Gary) of Lancaster, MA, Cecil Kervin, Jr. (Denise) and Michael Kervin (Jennifer Agnew), both of Moncton; grandchildren, Kevin Melanson, Vicki Silva (Lupe), Amanda Melanson, Matthew and Andrew Kervin; great grandson, Oliver Silva; sister, Claire Kinash (late William) of Vineland Station, ON; brothers, Austin Kervin, Ralph Kervin (Dora) and Vincent Kervin (Rita), all of Moncton; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Phyllis (Lee) Kervin (April 2010); sisters, Edna Cormier and Irene Landry and brothers, Alexis and Donald.
In keeping with Cecil’s wishes, there will be no visitation hours. Funeral Service at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at 10:00 am, Rev. Allison Carroll officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment, St. Lawrence O’Toole Roman Catholic Cemetery, Irishtown.
