David Barry Pipe of Kamloops, B.C. passed away on Monday, October 1, 2012 at 67 years of age.
He is survived by his ex-wife Theresa Linda Pipe, children Russell Pipe of Kelowna B.C., Glenn Pipe of Plano, TX and Chris Pipe of Chicago, IL; grandchildren Monica Pipe, Matthew Pipe, Thomas Pipe, Nathan Pipe and Victoria Pipe; brother Mike Pipe and sister Lorna Pipe.
He was predeceased by his father Frederick Pipe, mother Isobel Pipe and brother Ken Pipe.
David loved the outdoors, motorbike riding, exploring and prospecting. In his spare time, his passion for prospecting resulted in a mineral rich deposit, which he called the "Lady Bug" claims. David worked at the Weyerhaeuser Pulp Mill in Kamloops most of his life. His other great passion was working with wood and creating beautiful, very strong furniture. He will be dearly missed.
The family would like to offer special thanks to Theresa Pipe for her tireless help during David's illness.
Memorial donations in David's memory, may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, if friends so desire. Flowers gratefully declined.
The Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 5, 2012 in the Kamloops Funeral Home Chapel, 285 Fortune Drive with Reverend Louise Peters officiating. Interment to follow at Hillside Cemetery.
