Peacefully, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, with his wife at his side, John Herbert Arenburg of New Glasgow, PEI, passed into the arms of his beloved Savior, on Friday, October 12, 2012.
John is survived by his wife, Carol (nee MacKinnon), and their children, Alicia (Damien Packwood) of Charlottetown, Amy (Jeremy Nicholson) of New Glasgow, and Joshua (Rebecca MacIntyre) of Charlottetown and North Milton; and is the loving Grampa of Isaac Nicholson and Max Packwood. He is also survived by his mother, Mary Arenburg (nee Kroeker), of Niagara Falls; his brothers, David (Cathy) of Niagara Falls, James (Kim McFarland) of Niagara Falls, Wayne (Barb) of Columbia, Tennessee and Gary (Kathy) of Niagara Falls; his mother-in-law, Velda MacKinnon (Phonse Poirier) of Charlottetown; brothers and sisters-in-law, Donnie MacKinnon and Janet Lefevre of Calgary, Ralph and Faye MacDonald (nee MacKinnon) of Stratford, Ross and Karen MacMillan (nee MacKinnon) of Clyde River, Robert MacKinnon of Calgary and Jimmy Wall of Charlottetown; and numerous nephews and nieces. John was predeceased by his father, Herbert Arenburg; father-in-law, Kenneth MacKinnon; and sister-in-law, Donna Arenburg.
A Celebration of Life service will be held for family and friends at Faith Bible Church, 392 St. Peter's Rd, Charlottetown on Tuesday, October 23, 2012, at 6:30 p.m. This will include songs, pictures, and memories, with a reception to follow at the church. The service will be available to be viewed at www.ustream.tv/user/fbcchurch.
