WELCH, HELEN - Helen Beatrice (O'Hara) Welch, former resident of Saint John, died October 9 at the age of 101 in Johns Creek, Ga. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, James Welch, brothers Gregory (Elinor) Charlie and Edward (Catherine), her sister Renee (Jim); baby Jody. Helen left Saint John after completing nurses' training at the Winnipeg Women's and Children's Hospital, then retired to New Port Richey, Fl., in 1974. She is survived by her children; her grandchildren; her sister in law Marguerite O'Hara as well as a number of nephews, nieces and cousins, many of whom still reside in Saint John. A memorial service will be held on October 20th at 11:00 at St. Peters Church on Douglas Ave.
