It is with great sadness that the family of the late STELLA M. CAINES of Fortune, NL, announces her passing at the Blue Crest Home in Grand Bank on Saturday, October 13, 2012, at the age of 92. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are Sons Jim (Cecilia), Roy (Thyphena), Phil, Tom, Ray and Andre (Marjorie) all of Fortune; Daughters Mary (Charles) Dominix, Louisa (Hedley) Hillier, and Mercedes (Fred) Caines all of Fortune; Sisters-in-law Louisa Dunne, and Lucy Caines; 18 Grandchildren; 22 Great-Grandchildren; 1 Great-Great-Grandchild; plus a large circle of family and friends. Pre-deceased by Husband James; Sons Thomas & Michael; Daughter Margaret; Grandson Rodney Hillier; Great-Granddaughter Caitlyn Caines.

The Mass of Christian Burial took place at the Church of the Most Holy Rosary in Point May on Wednesday, October 17th, at 2:00 p.m. Interment followed at the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Point May. In Stella’s memory donations may be made to The Alzheimer’s Society or flowers gratefully accepted.
