George Lounsbury
LOUNSBURY, GEORGE A. - George A. Lounsbury 81, of Wheaton Settlement, passed away at the Moncton City Hospital on October 18, 2012. Born in Wheaton Settlement, he was a son of the late Edwin and Edith (nee Howard) Lounsbury. George was a retired woodsman and an avid fisherman and hunter. He is survived by his sons: Reginald Lounsbury (Peggy Smith) of The Glades, Roger (Jill) Lounsbury of The Glades, Steven Lounsbury (Brenda Lewis) of Salisbury and Allen (Judy) Lounsbury of Petitcodiac; daughters: Debbie Lounsbury of Salisbury, Darlene Gaynes (Ted Cormier) of Moncton, June Edgar (Donald Stevens) of
Wheaton Settlement, Sandra Lounsbury (Bill Dalley) of Dartmouth, N.S. and Carolyn Lounsbury of Lantz, N.S.; brother-in-law, William “Bill” Allen; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, George was predeceased by his brother, Wilfred Lounsbury; sisters, Edith Allen and Gladys Dixon; brother-in-law, Lloyd Dixon; sisters-in-law, Myrtle Lounsbury and Frances Lounsbury.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Armstrong’s Funeral Home. As per George’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service held.
