JACQUART, FREDERICK JOSEPH - 88 – With great sadness the family of Fred Joseph “Bunny” Jacquart announce his death which occurred on Friday, October 19, 2012 at St. Joseph’s Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born 1924 in Minto, NB; he was the son of the late Joseph and Annie Marie Mae (Copan) Jacquart. Fred worked as a coal miner in the Minto Mines for six years before working as a Meat Cutter with Canada Packers for 25 years. He also worked for Chandler sales for 11 years until retirement. He was an avid sports enthusiast who enjoyed watching Boxing and Hockey. He took great pride in his family and friends and celebrated their accomplishments. His compassion and sense of humor will be cherished and his presence truly missed. Fred is survived by his sons: Ron of Vancouver, BC; Brian (Hazel) of Saint John, NB; Paul (Mary) of Windsor Junction, NS; Mike (Natalie) of Saint John, NB; daughter Elaine Parent (Gerald) of Musquash; grandchildren: Daniel, Jennifer, Douglas, Jeremy, Sean, Greg, Steve, Adam, Melissa, Matthew, Austin, Mikayla, John, Michelle, Chris; nephews: Dwight, Johnny, Darrell and David. Besides his parents, Fred was predeceased by his wife Loretta Mae (Knox) Jacquart; son Kevin and brothers John & Arthur.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation being held on Monday, October 22nd from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. A Memorial Service will take place from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, October 23rd at 3 p.m. please note time change, followed by an interment at Fernhill Cemetery.
